  1. Where are you located?

    Your Big Day is a business providing professional hair and make-up services currently based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

  2. What areas do you service?

    We will service all areas of Sydney Metropolitan, and will also service outer Metro and country regions including the Central Coast, Blue Mountains, Hunter region, and down to Wollongong, for a Travelling fee.  This fee is outlined in the Pricing document.

  3. Do you only do Weddings?

    No, we specialize in Weddings and have impressed many Brides, however we also do Hair and Make-up for special events, birthday parties, corporate functions and commercial jobs.  We both have a lot of experience in the many facets of this industry.  You may also view Bonita's beauty and commercial work at www.bonita.com.au

  4. Can you come to my House or Hotel venue on the Wedding day?

    Yes, we certainly can.  We are a mobile hair and make-up service that comes to you on your Wedding day.

  5. Do you offer pre-Wedding day Hair and Make-up Trials?

    Yes, we highly recommend that you have a Trial with us prior to the Wedding day. For several reasons: we like to meet you first and consult about colours, themes and styles.  Then we will conduct the Trial so you can see what your hair and make-up will look like on the day.  There are no surprises then, and you can be absolutely confident you will look exactly how you had envisioned – Perfect! This Trial also gives us a chance to develop some rapport so you can feel completely confident with using our services.

  6. Where are the Hair and Make-up Trials conducted?

    Trials can be conducted at the stylist’s home location to ensure all products/equipment is at hand, or you may also request the trial at your home location depending on your situation.

  7. When do you do the Trial?  Do I need to bring anything?

    Pre-wedding day Trials are usually recommended anywhere from 3 to 6 months prior to the Big Day.  Some Brides are super organized and want it done earlier (in case they are “shopping around” for the ideal artist) but it is not necessary.  If it is closer to the wedding date, you may feel ready and more confident, as your skin colouring should be close to what it will be on the day, you will have details on the theme of the wedding, your dress colours etc.  Please bring dress swatches (if you have), and any magazine pictures of hair or make-up that you have seen and like to show us.

  8. How long does the Hair and Make-up Trial take?

    Please allow 2-3 hours for the Hair trial, and 1-2 hours for the Make-up trial.  Depending on how many “adjustments” will need to be made, will determine the length of time it will take.  If the Trial takes longer than this allocated time, we may need to book an additional appointment as there may be other clients waiting.

  9. Do we have to use you together as a package, or can we just book the Hair or Make-up service separately?

    No, you may certainly book one service independently of the other.  If you already have a Hair supplier, and you only require Make-up, please let us know, we would be more than happy to oblige. And vice versa.

  10. So how much do you charge?

    If you are impressed with what you see, please email us with an Enquiry and we will happily reply with our Pricing document (sent to you in a PDF file).

  11. Do you require a Deposit? And how much is this?

    We normally request a Deposit after the Trial is conducted.  You may leave a minimum of $100 or more, which will be taken off the Final balance on the wedding day.

  12. What is your cancellation policy?

    If you have left a Deposit and you need to cancel for whatever reason, please notify us immediately; unfortunately deposits for cancellations within 8 weeks of the wedding will be non-refundable, as we would be unable to secure a replacement for your wedding date at the last minute.

  13. What forms of payment do you take?

    We accept Cash, and Bank deposits / Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT).  We will send you the details if you request.  Please deposit the Full Balance owed if paying by EFT - this is at least 3 working days before the Wedding date.  The funds must be Cleared prior to the Wedding.  We Do Not currently accept any Credit cards, Amex, or Diners.

  14. Do you offer discounts for larger bridal parties?

    We will be happy to negotiate a special rate with bridal parties of 6 or more people.

  15. Do you supply any complimentary lipstick or lipgloss for the Bride on the day?

    For parties of 6 or more people, we supply a touch-up lip product for the Bride.  We will also provide a short list of beauty items that will be recommended for touch-ups throughout the day for Bride and Bridesmaids; it will be the Bride and Bridesmaid’s responsibility to keep their own make-up looking “fresh” after we are gone.

  16. Do you supply False eyelashes?

    Individual false eyelashes are provided for the Bride only.  Lashes may be requested for other Bridesmaids or Guests for an additional fee.

  17. What Brands of make-up do you use?

    We only use high-quality brands including NARS, Stila, Lancome, MAC, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Prescriptives, Ben Nye, RCMA.  Your skin will be treated to only the best.

  18. Do you offer any kind of guarantee?

    We promise that we will work to deliver our services to the best of our ability to impress and please You (the Bride) on your Wedding day.  We will be punctual and work efficiently to get you all ready on time.  If you are not satisfied with something, please inform us and we will try to rectify it immediately.  We take pride in our customer service and will strive to ensure Your Big Day is one you will fondly remember with us!
